Programs and Services

SAC works in conjunction with Alumni Engagement and the Alumni Association board of directors to help prepare current students for their future roles as alumni. Some of SAC’s events, programs, and services include:

• Welcome Week

  SAC helps to educate incoming students and families about the programs and services offered by SAC and the Alumni Association.

• Homecoming

  SAC plans various events and activities for Illinois State’s annual homecoming celebration. Every year SAC produces a float for the homecoming parade.

• Sibling Weekend

  SAC coordinates a carnival and other activities to help students and their siblings celebrate this special weekend.

• Future Alumni Leaders

  SAC gives recognition to top student leaders who are nominated by the dean and/or faculty of their academic department or school. Up to three outstanding students from this group will be named Future Alumni Leaders of the Year. Each Leader of the Year is recognized at the annual Alumni Awards Ceremony which takes place the on Founder's Day.

• Legacy Scholarships

  SAC offers $1,000 scholarships (number awarded varies each year) to students of Illinois State graduates. This nonrenewable scholarship was made possible by a donation from the family of Marion H. Dean ’27 and continuous contributions from SAC and the Alumni Association.
