Lisa has spent her entire career in the Olympia CUSD 16 school district. For 18 years she taught social sciences in the high school setting. She then worked as the student services coordinator for Olympia Middle School before becoming principal of Olympia West Elementary School. Outside of the school setting, Lisa educates others too. She has served as a literacy coach and has presented at several statewide conferences.
During her time as a student, Lisa served as a residence assistant in Hewett Hall and on the Association of Residence Halls food service committee. She now shares her talent and advice as a mentor for student teachers from Illinois State and works closely with the Department of History.
She currently serves on the Alumni Association board of directors' awards, DEI, and board development committees.
