After graduating from Illinois State, Michele earned her Master of Public Health in 2003. In 2005, she began working for the Arthritis Foundation and is currently serving there as the director of state legislative affairs, responsible for overseeing the Arthritis Foundation's state legislative program. Her role is responsible for leading patient/provider coalitions, training advocates, and advocating for patient protections in state legislatures across the country.
During her time at Illinois State, Michele was a member of the Student Alumni Council, the Peer Education Program and Eta Sigma Gamma. She continues to stay involved with Illinois State sharing her wisdom and passion with students in the Health Education Program, participating in mock legislative meetings, and serving on the Health Education Advisory Board. She also became an alumna initiate of Alpha Alpha Omicron Pi Women's Fraternity, Beta Nu Chapter at Illinois State.
She
is currently past president of the Alumni Association board of directors and the Foundation Board liaison. She serves on the Redbird Prime, board development, and executive committees. She can be reached at
