Breana earned a bachelor’s in English in 2017 from ISU and just recently finished a master’s in management and leadership development from WGU. She is now an academic advisor for University College at Illinois State. She loves that she has the ability to advise and a mentor ISU students in her role and see the positive impact she leaves on their lives.
Outside of her professional work, Breana serves as vice president for the West Bloomington Revitalization project. Here she has contributed to the creation and execution of several community service projects, including the widely successful Bedblitz, for the Bloomington community. What a true #RedbirdImpact! She has also served as a TRiO alumni speaker, the social media chair for the Chicago Young Alumni Network, and received the ISU Student Affairs Redbird Proud Young Alumni Award.
During her time as a student, Breana was involved with TRiO, LeaderSHAPE, National Association for Colored Women Club, and Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution. She worked in the Office of Admissions and served as a senator for SGA.
She currently serves on the Alumni Association board of directors' awards and scholarship committees.
