Joe earned a degree in Mathematics and built a strong foundation of leadership and communication through his involvement in the Forensics Union. During his time at ISU, he served as vice president and president of the organization, represented students nationally through the National Forensic Association, earned the title of NFA National Champion in After Dinner Speaking in 2010, and was recognized as an AFA-NIET Top 5 Pentathlon competitor.

Professionally, Cozza is a senior analytics leader at United Airlines, where he leads the Day-of-Travel Customer Insights function, helping improve the travel experience for United customers through data-driven insights and research.

A dedicated Redbird volunteer, he has served with the Greater Chicago Alumni Network since 2020, including as co-chair since 2023.

Outside of work, Cozza has coached several high school speech and debate teams and served on the Civic Information Systems Commission for the Village of Oak Park. Guided by the Redbird motto, “Gladly We Learn and Teach,” he believes being a Redbird means continually learning, growing, and sharing those experiences with future generations.
