BCA Homecoming Weekend 2024
Celebrating Homecoming with the Illinois State Black Colleagues Association (ISUBCA) is our favorite time of the year. It is a time to re-connect and fellowship with lifelong friends and experience our beloved university and its growing, talented student body. This year is particularly special as the Illinois State University Black Colleagues Association celebrates 40 years.
Before heading to campus, pay it forward at the September 26 virtual scholarship celebration hosted by the BCA scholarship committee. Let's party with a purpose starting at 6:30 p.m. (CT). More details to come.
Then head to campus for ISUBCA fun-filled Homecoming activities all weekend beginning on Friday night with Club 4.0. We encourage all to be on campus for Saturday’s parade, tailgate, and of course the football game as the Redbirds take on North Dakota State. Stop by our Laugh Out Loud 4.0 following the game. The weekend will conclude with ISUBCA’s annual Scholarship Brunch on Sunday.

Meet and Greet "Club 4.0"

Holiday Inn Bloomington-Normal, 8 Traders Cir, Normal
We’re celebrating 40 years with step and line dance tutorials, food, drinks, games (spades, bid whists, dominoes, etc.) and dancing! Come from 7-9 p.m. for card tournaments, step and line dancing class. Stay past 9 p.m. for a dance party.
Hors d’oeuvres and cash bar available.

Homecoming Parade
10 a.m.
Find your place on the route to watch or if you are interested in walking with BCA in the parade, please contact one of the co-chairs.
Black Alumni Tailgate
11 a.m.
Lot U91 (corner of Adelaide St. and Gregory St., next to Duffy Bass Field)
Meet us for our annual Black Alumni Tailgate! Don’t miss your favorite alumni DJ set from DJ AG and others, student talent, and the crowning of the Black Homecoming Committee King and Queen. BCA will provide a local favorite - Avanti’s gondolas, chips, and water until exhausted.
Redbird Athletics offers parking permits for purchase to the general public on a first-come, first-serve basis at a cost of $10/vehicle beginning at 9 a.m. on July 15 at GoRedbirds.com. These spaces sell quickly so get your individual space soon. For additional information, visit Redbird Athletics .

Comedy Show "Laugh Out Loud 4.0"

The 40th anniversary celebration continues! Club 4.0 becomes Laugh Out Loud 4.0 as we start the night off with side-splitting comedy. Stay after the show for a classic dance party featuring hits from the past 40 years.

Scholarship Brunch
10 a.m.

After a weekend of reuniting with fellow Redbird alumni, join us for a perfect ending. Connect over brunch with current scholarship recipients who will be our future leaders. This coveted event helps us remember why we party with a purpose.

- Accommodations
Hotel block access is exclusive to those who purchase a weekend package on a first-come, first-serve basis. Maximum two rooms per purchase. To have access to two rooms, at least two weekend packages must be purchased. Once package is purchased, a confirmation with hotel details will be sent. The hotel will contact purchaser directly to confirm booking and take payment within 10 days of purchase.

BCA has exclusive Illinois State University Black Colleagues Association 40th anniversary apparel through The Birds Nest, owned and operated by alum Fonzell King ’98. Orders will be taken through August 1 with guaranteed delivery by Homecoming. A portion of each jacket purchase will be donated back to support BCA. Don’t be caught without yours!
